The Learning Analytics Summer Institute (LASI) provides an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to get hands-on experience with new learning analytics tools and methods, network with international colleagues, and share ideas. Workshops and tutorials range from introductory and advanced technical sessions to sessions on ethics, policy, and implementation issues. This year’s keynote speakers are Dr. Heather O’Brien (Associate Professor, UBC iSchool), Dr. Ido Roll  (Director of the UBC Institute for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) and Dr. Phil Winne (Professor of Education, SFU).

To register for LASI, you’ll need to be a member of the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR). Because UBC is an institutional member of SoLAR, all UBC students, staff and faculty are eligible for SoLAR membership, free of charge.

See the SoLAR website for registration rates and instructions.
